One of the biggest things that I did for myself this year was take a real estate exam and gain my real estate sales license. I have been working as a barmaid for close to eight years now. Last year, on my birthday, I promised myself that I was going to make something better of myself. After all, I wasn’t getting any younger. How much more can I tend bar and not look like a haggard version of that “Cheers” hottie from the 80s? So I promised myself that I was going to learn a new career. Three months later, and one exam schedule away, I found myself answering the real estate exam to pass my licensure. I’m really lucky there is no experience requirement in our state. After I got my real estate license the next step was to try my hand in actually selling real estate. Since then, it’s been three months and 12 homes sold! A great start to a new career.
